Stokley,

Use the minimize button on any sub windows that you do not wish to see on
your screen.

The docking windows ( such as the two you mention ) can be "docked" of
"fixed" to an edge of your screen or to the edge of another toolbar by
simply dragging that window and positioning it adjacent to a spot on the
edge of your screen or toolbar.  You'll see it change shape when it is in
position to be docked.
