Steve,

I think there is a misunderstanding about the meaning of checking those
boxes. When you check the CW box, that means that you want an ARRL DXCC CW
award. This would select any Qs that are CW on any band. When you also
check the 40 mtr box, that means that you also want a 40 mtr band award.
This would select any 40 mtr Qs. So, the results are all Qs that qualify
for the 40mtr band award and all Qs that qualify for the CW mode award. It
does not mean all 40 mtr CW Qs. There is no such award for this.

You could accomplish getting a listing of all 40 mtr CW Qs by using the
DXbase Selection Wizard and set the QSO filters for mode = CW and band = 40.
Set any other filters that you want. Select output type to Report.
Compute. After doing this, you could run the award module and select wizard
data as the source instead of QSOs. If you only want to see the listing, do
NOT allow DXbase to update the DXCC Credited status when asked. Or, you
could simply select one of the User Designed List reports to see the results
of the Wizard extract.

Regards,
Jack

Subject: [DXBase] Re: DXCC 40 CW

I am trying to get a printout of my 40 Meters CW contacts for the DXCC
Award so I go to OUTPUT/AWARDS/DXCC, then check the boxes for 40 and
CW, then hit the compute button. When I do this it shows me all my CW
contacts on all bands. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks,

Steve, WA6YFD
