yes, that's correct. but there is a proviso. In this instance though, due to the sun's lower location, neither I nor the other station, weren't in twilight but we were both in the same (almost) position relative to the grayline. Or putting it another way. The time to/from gray line was equal. The signal wasn't bodacious by any means but I listened to it peak and then subside as the equality of our relative positions changed.
Of course if we were both in the twilight area at the same time the signal would have likely been even stronger. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Richard Hill" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "FireBrick" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, August 06, 2002 5:19 PM Subject: Re: [DXBase] predicted opening on target > Sorry if this is off topic, but doesn't gray line only work when you are > both on the gray line? > > 73 > KG6JOT > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "FireBrick" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: "DXBase List" <[email protected]> > Sent: Tuesday, August 06, 2002 11:49 AM > Subject: [DXBase] predicted opening on target > > > > In my last posting I said I used DX Atlas gray line to predict a possible > > opening with Myanmar. > > I'll be darn if I could hear them peaking as the gray line became equal. > > Now I have to work on understanding DX Atlas propagation features. > > > > ----------------------------------------------------- > > Any instrument when dropped will roll into the least accessible corner. > > ----------------------------------------------------- > > > > Bill H. in Chicagoland > > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > www.billnjudy.com > > http://files.billnjudy.com > > > > > > > > _______________________________________________ > > DXBase Reflector - Please visit us on the web at www.dxbase.com > > - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - > > To UNSUBSCRIBE please visit: > > http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase > > > > >
