I re-read your #2 and it sounds like you are saying that if
you decide to change your font for a certain line/field, etc.
that you want it to automatically shorten the distance or at
least change the distance between the lines - if I read you
correctly (???) - then the best thing owuld be to simply
MOVE the field or complete line up or down - as you are making
the list file..  If you can tell us more - I think that we can better
have a feel for what in #2 you are trying to do..
