Hmmm. I'll pass all your thoughts along to the developers so that they can take a look at the possible options in the future. Keeping a master db for a non contest program isn't the same as doing it for a contest program however. For contest purposes, you don't have things like deleted countries, callsigns used in different countries, prefix and country changes over the years, etc... but maybe there are some possibilities.
