Actually I think the Find function is just fine as it is. What I don't
like is the new Frequency entry method since the 2002 version. I have
entered frequency in my logs for the past 35+ years as 14.202, 7.100 etc.
and now to have to enter 14202.0 or 7100.0 is UN-NATURAL!! Think about
this, 432.8 MHZ now is entered 432800000.0 or if you operated on 1296 MHz,
or any of those frequencies!! Yes I understand the reason they made the
change, and if I used a rig control cable it would enter it automatically
etc. But they have not come up with a method to control my Collins S-Line
yet as I use it as much as the Icom 775DSP, so I still have to enter it by
hand and learn to control my impulse to write the frequency the old way.
Down Right Inconveinient and a Royal Pain if you ask me!!!

I know Courtney and Jack are laughing over this one as I hit them up about
this at Dayton this last May - Something about serving the majority and not
just one individual...

But if you are not in the callsign field when you press Control-F it will
return
with an error if you search for a callsign.

When I'm confirming QSL's I
search for the call
mark it received (it would be nice to make a shortcut for this)
press F8 to queue it for printing
then I want to Control-F and enter another call, but I have to be in the
callsign field to have DXBase search for the call.

I would like to see the search function look anywhere - would make it
easier
when you have a stack of QSL's that need replies.

If God intended you to be on single sideband, he would have given you only
one nostril.
