Well...........I did those steps, and got messages indicating that something didn't work right:
DriverX.vxd - Not an executable file, and no registration helper is registered with this file type. DriverX.sys - Loaded, but the DllRegister Server entry point was not found. DriverX.sys does not appear to be a .dll or .OCX file. Stumped.
