I must admit that I find it interesting that we the users and = prospective users of DXbase would be asked not to input ideas and wish = list items to the reflector. Alot of the items I see wished for are good = ideas and spark interest and dialog among others, which can and do = change how people use the program. Even if those wish list ideas are = never used. (Kind of like Wow I haven't even thought of that, maybe I = can do it another way........) Quite frankly I feel it's not our = problem of whether or not other software writers use the wish list ideas = they see on this reflector, or if improvements in DXBase upgrades end up = in other Logging Software programs later. ( I can't for the life of me = remember the adage that goes something like, "Copying is the sincerest = form of flattery") I would look at it that way.... "We must be doing = something right!"=20 I would also hope that the producers of DXBase are not afraid to use = the the wish list ideas that are based on things that users have used = and seen in other programs only because it would make DXBase look less = "innovative" ie since it wasn't our idea it isn't a good idea........I = admit that I have no idea of what would be considered a software idea = copyright infringement among software writers etc, but I was bothered by = the notion that any ideas of program improvements from the users who = support the program by buying it would automatically be considered "Top = Secret" and shouldn't be discussed in an open forum... If I = interpreted the request wrong I apologize..... Again I'm just plain = surprised!
