Jim, that's the way I do it. I hand carried a carry-on full of cards to Newington a couple of years ago. Had them sorted via band and a DXB printout.
I get lots of multi qso cards. I use a small post it note which says something like: 17 meter rtty only or whatever Just a reminder to all readers, DON'T use a highlighter or put a checkmark next to a qsl listing. And yet as ANAL as I am about keeping my records correct, I still get one bounced occasionally for being already credited for that band and mode. Usually it's a case of the call being incorrectly associated with an entity. Like you I've had that 10mHz/10mtr thing bite me. I can't always read the handwritten stuff.
