I reported before that when I did a SH/FDX/50 it would take a long time to complete.
I have discovered the problem...I had the 'sounds' turned on, but I had the switch on the speakers off so I didn't realize it was sending the sound. It was queuing up the sound for perhaps 20 spots, but the last 30 spots it was having to wait for each spot sound to actually complete. This was consuming a LOT of time! The solution is to turn off the sound using the little speaker icon on the lower RHS of the DXBase window, or to disable sounds. One easy way to disable sounds is to in user options select "Disable Sounds on Exit" for both TNC and Internet. Then the next time you start DXB2004 it won't generate sounds, and SH/FDX/50 will be fast. Ron, N5IN
