I have not been able to connect to an internet cluster even though all
settings in 2004 are the same as in 2003 and I can still connect in 2003.
BTW I am using Windows XP for both.

I get the following message IMMEDIATELY not after one minute:

! could not connect to the site!

Then I get this:

Packet Comm Mgr initialization failed. Check user options, hardware
options, or internet connection. You should close the packet window and
resolve this problem, then retry.

Here is what I've tried so far:

1) I read the manual and cannot find any steps that I have omitted.

2) I duplicated all of the settings from DXBase 2003 to DXBase 2004.

3) I verified that install put the new hosts file in the right place. And I
made sure my Host (a url in my case) was listed in the new hosts file. I
also saw the old backup host file created from install in the same
directory. So I'm pretty sure it's set up right.

4) Though I don't think it should make a difference I verified that the
Connect TNC box in the TNC tab is NOT check. And New Internet Cluster is
the Window is the only highlighted choice.

5) I searched this reflector and not found a solution.

6) Just before sending this email I tried to connect with DXB 2004 and could
not. Then I exited DXB 2004 and opened DXB 2003 and tried to connect. It
worked fine.

I give up, for now.
