check the little speaker icon down on the bottom line of DXB.
Not the speaker icon which is part of windows and is in the 'systray'....

Move your cursor over the speaker, and the cursor should turn into a 'hand'
icon.
Click there and the speaker should change color from white to Yellow.
In the cluster tools setup options, make sure 'Disable Sound on Exit' is not
checked.
Of course, check that the Announce DX spots and sound events options are
correct.
