... use 'Tools' 'Database Access' 'Country Prefixes' 'Call Map' and = map DP1POL to KC4 (or whatever you use for Antartica). This should help.

Eric. -> -----Original Message----- -> From Carsten Esch -> Subject: AW: [DXBase] Very weird import anomaly ->=20 ->=20 -> Hi George, ->=20 -> I tried the following ...=20 ->=20 -> ADIF import from Writelog. Writelog had DP1POL wrong (showed=20 -> DL). Even if I -> import this QSO (beside abt. 900 others) it will show up in DXBase = as -> Antartica (KC4). What happens if you enter DP1POL 'manually'=20 -> into DXBase? -> Will it show up correctly? ->=20 -> Regards, ->=20 -> Carsten, DL6LAU ->=20 -> -----Urspr=FCngliche Nachricht----- -> Von: Carsten Esch=20 -> Gesendet: Montag, 27. Oktober 2003 17:25 -> An: 'DXBase' -> Betreff: [DXBase] Very weird import anomaly ->=20 ->=20 -> After CQWW I exported my modest 810-record Cabrillo log and also the -> adif file. Then imported the adif into DXbase 2004. The=20 -> import showed -> 810 records imported, no errors. Went to bed. ->=20 -> For some odd reason I took a look this morning at the=20 -> Cabrillo to check -> the zone number for DP1POL in Antarctica. Saw it was 38. -> Coincidentally, I then went into DXbase to add this QSO to=20 -> the pending -> label file. No record of DP1POL. It's right there in the Cabrillo. -> It's right there in the adif. But even though it was one of the 810 -> records imported "successfully", it was not in the DXbase log! The -> QSO's just before and just after it are right there, however. ->=20 -> I suppose I can do another import and see whether 809=20 -> records are dupes -> and maybe DP1POL will make it then. But I'm=20 -> puzzled...suppose I didn't -> just happen to look for this specific record, but found that I had -> imported only 809 records instead of the 810 I exported to=20 -> adif. Then -> imagine I had a competitive contest station and had to look through -> maybe 1,300 records to find the one that disappeared during=20 -> the import! ->=20 -> Jack, any thoughts on how this could occur? Any other users had = this -> experience? Now I'm not sure I haven't had it myself before this... ->=20 -> George W1EBI _______________________________________________ DXBase Reflector - Please visit us on the web at www.dxbase.com - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -=20 To UNSUBSCRIBE please visit: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase
