If you check the ARRL handbook, I think VU is an assigned prefix for India and it's possessions. It's just 'convention' that VU4 & VU7 are recognized as Lacadive or Andamans. In fact a few months back there was some special event that used VU4 or VU7 and had the cluster crabs all in a dither.
So... Say you have worked VU7AA Enter it in your log, cursor to the 'Prefix' column and mouse click. A selection menu will appear, select VU7-Lacadives. When you then cursor to another empty log line, a pop up will appear saying something like "Do you want to map VU7AA to VU7 Lacadives?" Answer yes. From now on, all VU7AA entries will automagically be mapped to Lacadives. Now you could just do this after entering VU7 into the callsign field, select Lacadives and save and the popup would then ask "Do you want to map VU7. .etc" But this may cause future errors in the log as it's entirely possible that India could assign a call with that prefix to another special event or some such. There are a number of entities that have this problem. K7K a few years back caused all sorts of screaming from some Euros who claimed it had to be a Pirate as that should have been a Mainland callsign.
