I like to keep a record of changes that I make to my setup. (New radio, =
antenna, new ham license class, you know that sort of stuff.) In the =
past with hand written logs I would put my notes in the logs. When I =
asked Jack about it a couple years ago he suggest that I use my =
callsign, which is what I have been doing. Now with LoTW here I don't =
really want to send my log showing that I contacted myself so was please =
to see that DXBase has a Station Notepad and I was going to transfer the =
information in the log over to that, but there is one major problem. =
Station Notepad opens either Notepad or Wordpad to do your editing with. =
Unfortuantely these programs are so old that if I want to save the =
station notes in the default directory for DXB those two programs can't =
seem to make it past the space between "Program" and "Files". Sort of =
throws a monkey wrench into the works. It appears THE only way it would =
work would be if you put DXBase in a totally different folder than the =
default calls for.

Anybody got any clue where I could keep a file like this? I guess I =
could build it in Word and make it a .DOC file. It is just a shame that =
the "Station Notepad" is somewhat useless. Of course I guess you could =
have a separate directory off the root just to hold this one file, but =
it seems such a waste.
