Sending CW. I use to send CW from a DOS based program with a 400 MHz Pentium II machine with no problems. The OS was W2K and the program ran in a DOS window & Nothing else runnng.
When I upgraded to the windows version of the program the CW was poor, very choppy, with an occasional pause. When the pause occurred during key down it really sounded poor. I upgraded to a 2.4 G, Pentium 4 with XP and 512MB of memory. Now the CW is fine with no problems. The CW program is MRP40. 73 Tom. N4TL.
