After installing a new Byte Runner PCI board with 4 serial ports, which =
are
working fine with rig control, rotor control, and control of my Alpha =
87A
amplifier, I ran the DXbase CW driver program to set up CW keying on =
COM1,
which is on the motherboard.

Using Device Manager to look at the serial ports that the Byte Runner
created, I don't see any addresses to enter into the DXbase driver =
program.=20

The serial port internal CW still does not work, but more importantly,
Writelog now crashes on startup, so I suspect the DXbase driver program =
has
made registry entries that are the cause.

I first left the default addresses in the DXbase driver program with the
defaults and then set all but COM1 and COM3 (the modem) as blanks.

Writelog creates the bandmap and RTTYrite screen, but then I get an
applications error dialog box when Writelog stops loading.

I am using a new RIGblaster Pro which is working on FSK with MMTTY
standalone also on COM1. (Please no sermons on homebrewiing an =
interface; I
wanted the features it provides.) I haven't installed the MMTTY plug-in =
for
Writelog yet. It uses the DTR line for CW.

Any suggestions for either fixing the serial-port keying in DXbase or to =
fix
the Writelog crash would be appreciated,

Jim N7US
