Jack...I downloaded the ICOM 7800 manual and have searched through the commands accessible via the CI-V interface and can find no command which will return the current status of SPLIT and/or DUAL-WATCH.
ICOM has some 'splaning to do as this is a HUGE drawback. Although I have been otherwise pleased with my ICOM 758ProII, the fact that it also fails in this regard has irked me to no end! I can't imagine they would make this mistake again! I had e-mail correspondence with the USA managers of ICOM and made it clear that this was a problem...and they fully understood...and said they had communicated this with Japan. Is there no hope for ICOM?
