[Dxbase] DxB Import

I am importing my DxBase2004 database into DxBase2005.  It asks for operator 
callsign.  I entered K1EP, but was hesitant because my log contains operator 
call entries such as K1EP/M.   The database imported correctly, preserving the 
operator callsign of all the QSOs.  What is the use of the operator callsign 
field in the import program?
