There sure is.
Tools, Options, User Options, Log Defaults and select "Last Date Logged".

When you go to log a old paper log qso, you will enter the date.
All future entries will repeat that date until you manually enter a new date.

I use a modified Manager.co file that only has a few fields necessary for 
entering from
paper logs.
I also use a small macro program to automatically send me to the next line time 
field
after entering a qso.

This save a lot of key strokes.

Good luck, and don't forget to upload those logs to LoTW for posterity.
You don't have to wait till you have transcribed the whole paper log stack.
You can do it in increments as I did for the DX station paper logs I inherited.
