I installed XP SP2 this morning with out any problems. I did my homework
prior to loading the update. I recommend that folks visit Microsoft's
'Knowledge Base' support sight and search on XP SP2 before loading the
update. After the list comes up, look for the Knowledge Base article that
talks to applications that the service pack may have problems with.

I had one application, Norton's AV 2003, that would have a problem with its
auto update function. Since I had recently paid for a new one year
subscription of Norton's virus updates, I turned the auto function off prior
to loading the service pack.

I noticed a 'quicker' running machine after installing the service pack. I
also run ZoneAlarm Pro ver 5 firewall. Before loading the service pack I
downloaded and installed the latest software update for this application
(needed for SP XP2). I had no problems with this application after
installing XP SP2.

I have not had any problems with Dxbase 2005 running under XP SP2. The
reports look great.........

So far I am pleased with the machine's operation after loading SP2; knock on
wood.

Hi Joe,

I'm using XP Pro Svc Pack 2 on 3 computers and have experienced no problem
on any. On my Station computer I'm running Norton System Works and Internet
Security w/o any problem. I am going to switch to the Svc Pack 2 Firewall
when I get some time. I'll let you know how it works. I run DXBase 2005,
MMTTY, and WriteLog also w/o problem and the machine is very stable. I
think it must be settings. I made many changes after I installed it and
before using applications.

The only problem I encountered is my computer at work has a 1gbps network
card and it wouldn't funnel down to 100mbps without going real real slow. I
installed a hub and that solved that problem.
