Is it all bands? all modes? all powers? Where is your antenna in relation to the shack? What kind of feed?
Where is your shack located? A counterpoise usually stops rfi Cut a wire the length of a half wave for the band your own, hook it to the ground on the rig. Just lay it out on the floor. If that cures the rfi...then it's just rf overload. A computer and rig SHOULD NOT be grounded together. Each should have it's own ground. ----- Original Message ----- From: "WA9YSD" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "DXbse Forum" <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, October 09, 2004 9:24 AM Subject: [Dxbase] RFI PROBLEM Hi All I have been having windows opeing, closing cause, along with other problems with RF getting into the computer. Are those power strips with about 60db reduction do any good? Those with the line filters built into the power strip for the data lines are they any good? What are the good ones that work? ______________________________________________________________ Dxbase mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected]
