QSO made with CH7SV on 27-11-1993 40M CW. DXbase says it is a JA, I did a SH/PREF CH on packet and it comes up as a VE. What is this?
Thankyou for all your help. Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Art, Assuming you don't have pin 5 of the WinKey wired to anything, and you have the "lead-in" and "tail" delays programmed to zero, I would think your QSK should work fine. Since I don't have a QSK amplifier, I use the PTT feature of WinKey with pin 5 wired to key my amplifier and the key output wired to my transceiver. I program the delays to avoid hot-switching the amplifier. With QSK, I think you would want to set the "pin 5 config" option in DXbase (under Tools, Options, CW options, WinKey options) to "tone." However, that shouldn't be necessary if pin 5 isn't wired to anything. 73 de Chuck NI0C Date: Wed, 27 Oct 2004 08:02:33 -0400 From: Art Searle W2NRA <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: [Dxbase] DXBase sets K1EL WinKey to PTT? To: [email protected] Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed; charset=iso-8859-1; reply-type=original Hi, Every time I start DXBase 2005 it sets my K1EL WinKey to PTT. I like to use it QSK so I have to always reset it to turn off the PTT. Anyone know know to keep DXBase from doing this? I see no settings in the CW Options that allow you to turn it off. 73, Art W2NRA From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Oct 27 08:00:43 2004 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (FireBrick) Date: Wed Oct 27 08:02:22 2004 Subject: [Dxbase] CH7SV JA or VE ? References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> I am sure it's Canada. You may have inadvertently mapped it as JA. A good source for this info is: http://www.wordiq.com/definition/ITU_prefix Keep in mind that the larger the country, the more likely they have multiple totally non-sequential blocks of callsign prefixes. So do a search for the Country name on that site and it will show all the different blocks. ----- Original Message ----- From: "WA9YSD" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "DXbse Forum" <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, October 27, 2004 6:19 AM Subject: [Dxbase] CH7SV JA or VE ?
