Art,

I'm using the WinKey board (the kit that K1EL sells). Since I got it running,
I found out about the microHam Keyer and have been intrigued by it.
Specifically, I have wondered if DXbase 2005 supported the WinKey inside the
micrHam interface box. Sounds like it does.

The "tone" option in the WinKey gives you an optional sidetone output at pin 5
of the WinKey chip if you don't need a PTT output.

I'm not sure how "DXBase still turns on the relay to QSK amp." I think you
might need to provide us with more information concerning your rig and how your
station is wired. Sounds like you have found a solution, though.

One thing I've noticed with my setup is that when I bring up DXbase, I first
get a message saying that the K1EL keyer is not recognized. Then, after the
QSO log is loaded, I go to Tools, options, etc. and turn on the K1EL. Then it
works just fine.

  What's up Chuck,

Since I am using WinKey in the microHam Keyer/USB interface box pin 5 is
configured. In the interface I had PTT off but DXBase turns in back on. As
you suggested choosing 'tone" takes care of DXBase and I get QSK fine that way.
However one other minor annoyance is that DXBase still turns on the relay to
QSK amp. Since I don't use an amp I don't need that but I do get the relay
noise. A very minor inconvenience that I can fix by initializing the interface
software after loading DXBase. BTW that microHam Keyer interface is great!

I've also had very little time in the shack lately and haven't read through
the microHam or WinKey manuals for a solution to this.

73 and thanks for the help,

To all:

I have now posted the latest update to the Awards Report that
I have been making .. The newest addition is the tracking (Listing
of QSO's and STATS) of the Spanish Castles Award (DCE).

The Awards Report now includes 9 separate reports within the one
file - selectable by the user.

The ZIP file is available by either of 2 methods:

(1) Visit URL: http://www.anzwers.org/free/wa6axe/awardreports.html

or

(2) Send me an email and I will send it to you via return email
(attachment).

Once I hear from other users as to their "prioritized wishes" for
the next addition - I will then start work on the next one.
