Thanks to all who helped. Looks like RF got the program wako and went to JA.
After I rebooted the computer VE shows up just like it should have.

  Thanks again.

Sure Ed, but if I'm going to type the whole thing out I'm going to post it
to the DXBase group.

How I set up the microHam Keyer USB interface to use MMTTY and DXBase 2005
at the same time with help from Bill a.k.a. Firebrick:

1. microHam Keyer software port setting and other settings
   a. Ports Tab - Radio control = COM3, FSK=COM5, Win Key=COM1, CW=COM4 DTR,
PTT=COM4 RTS, Foot Switch COM4 CTS
(I use Win Key with DXBase and conputer generated CW on COM4 with
WriteLog and Foot Switch I
use as hand switch to key Heil headset mic)
   b. PTT/FSK - all settings are default except WinKe PTT = none and
personal choice I've checked Mute
computer CW and Mute computer FSK
2. DXBase Settings
Set up MMTTY to launch in Programs menu
       Tools/Options..../Users Options....Radio 1 tab - Comport = COM3,
check Connect HF Radio 1 Serial
       Interface
       Tools/Options.../CW Options....CW Interface tab - check K1EL Winkey
External Board
       Tools/Options.../CW Options....Winkey Options tab - Pin 5 Config =
Tone and Comport = COM1
3. MMTTY setting
Setup MMTTY TX tab PTT Port = COM5
Setup MMTTY TX tab, Radio Control button Port = COM4 (not COM3)
Setup MMTTY Misc tab, TX Port = COM-TxD(FSK)
Setup MMTTY Misc tab, USB Port button, Processing method = C:
Limiting speed

Well I think that's it. This setup does allows me to use DXBase and MMTTY
at the same time. It also does everything I want to do with WriteLog.

Hope this helps. Bill a.k.a. Firebrick, did I forget anything?

Art
