The Ten-Tec Orion transceiver has two CW modes = UCW and LCW (putting the BFO on different sides of the carrier). LCW is the more intuitive of the two; in LCW the CW pitch rises as when the RX frequency is increased.
Unfortunately, DXBase always puts the Orion in UCW when grabbing a cluster spot. Any way to change this to LCW? N1MM Logger, which I use for contesting, allows one to select which CW mode is the default. Many modern rigs have UCW and LCW, so perhaps this feature is of interest to users of other transceivers. 73, Bill William Hein, NT1Y 10 Clark Road Topsham VT 05076-3086 U.S.A.
