When a Russian lists his REGION on his QSL card, is this his OBLAST NUMBER? Or
are oblasts and regions two different things?

If ya want to record Oblast numbers (or unique award stuff) in DXBase 2006,
which column is best to use so that it can be searched out or filtered for a
list. The goal would be to save the report file or print it out for oblasts and
other various unique awards.

I'm logging all my previous QSO's and want to add this type of award info
correctly so it can be used in DxBase.

Ron,

On my old USSR QSL cards, some of them call it Region or Reg
and some of them call it OBL (Oblast) ... the following
LINK webpage lists the OLD Oblast #'s and the NEW designator
that is used for the various District Award (such as RDA):

As to which column to use -- you can use the Notes column,
or you could use the Spec1 or Spec2 .. The choice is up to
the user..

That would be the "Refdata.mdb" file.

After updating the IOTA and Country data bases, what file would I backup to
protect this information?
