Help! My hard drive crashed totally this morning. No files can be recovered, as other computers report that the drive is not formatted. Anyway, I have a backup of my mdb file on a CD, but I think I might have inadvertently saved it to a different version of dxbase. The dxbase 6.0 import function won't convert the file, saying that it is open by some other application or protected in some way. What Access version does dxbase 6.0 look for? Maybe by converting the file to the proper version I can get import to work.
If that fails, I can try to download records from LOTW, but I'd rather try to avoid that. TIA and 73, Stan, W4AG
