Hi Chuck,
I didn't follow the rest of this thread very carefully, so forgive me if this has already been mentioned. Although importing this information into your "master" log may be desirable for the history of who you have worked before, one thing to take into consideration is what awards you are tracking, or may wish to track in the future with DXBase. If you are tracking DXCC, but operating from another DXCC entity, you may not want to include those QSO's in the same log database unless you somehow flag them so that they won't be included in your main DXCC award selection. Any other awards where your operating location is significant, WAS, VUCC, etc would also fall into that category. If you were operating from another DXCC entity, you could have Jack add that callsign to your license key for that entity. Otherwise you may have to add some consistent, unique entry to one of the "special" fields. You could then use the selection wizard to only select the desired QSO's. Anyway, before you combine the logs, you may want to take these issues into consideration. 73....Dave - N9FN > -----Original Message----- > Date: Fri, 25 Nov 2005 08:42:46 -0500 > From: "Chuck Rippel" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: [Dxbase] Laptop OPS > To: [email protected] > Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII > > Thanks to each for your ideas and comments.
