Gary

Im glad you were able to finally understand my point

In fact your reply below emphasis the point I am trying to make

DXbase has some DXbase specific fields that may not be used by other
programmes. Therefore would it not be REALLY USEFUL to have some
information about these and the ADIF titles you need to use to match them eg
Special-1 in DXabse needs "spec1" in ADIF? These are probably unique to
DXBase and yet we are given NO HELP to use them, apart from a fixed value
import.

Perhaps I am the only person in "DXbase world" to use the Special-1 column
for variable data, having different values attached to some callsigns?

A sub-complaint which really is a minor issue is that my special-1 values
are not re-poplulated from a previous QSO. If I work a station again I get
his name, IOTA and state for example re-populated from previous data, it
would be useful (to me) to have the Special-1 data also re-populated.

To make this easier to understand I belong to a club and we have member
numbers. As I work othetr members I log their member number in "Special-1".
