I have just switched to a new Dell Dimension E310 computer. I purchased a PCI LPT port card since the computer does not have a LPT port. I got DXBase to send CW through the new port, but I have discovered a problem with the speed. The speed DXBase says is not the speed that is sent. I constructed a table of the speeds.
DXBase speed / Actual Speed 20 / 20 22 / 20 24 / 20 26 / 26 28 / 26 30 / 26 32 / 26 34 / 26 36 / 26 38 / 38 40 / 38 It appears that the speed is constant for a portion of the adjustable range, and then suddenly jumps to the correct speed and holds until another jump is made. Any seen this behavior before? The printing of the DXCC worksheet has always worked fine up until a few weeks ago. Now when I print the worksheet the letters are way too big and the sheet is not printed correctly. I can save the worksheet in a Word format file and then print it from Word. Does any one know what I should check or change to get this output to print correctly again? Tom N4TL
