I recently imported some contest logs into DxBase. The logs were in ADIF
format and were from a contest in which the ARRL section is specifically used
as part of the exchange and therefore labeled in the ADIF file as SECTION. In
a couple of instances, the state inserted into the DxBase log was not correctly
inferred from the data in the log. The two instances were that of two
confusing US prefixes, AL4 and KC4. These were actual stateside stations,
identified in the log with ARRL sections, but were changed when imported into
DxBase as AK and Antarctica. I can see having the mapping occur if you are
entering a callsign manually. I don't think it is correct to change a
section/state/country when importing from a file that explicitly lists that
data.
