Bob,

I'm not understanding where exactly you are making these changes since there 
is nothing in the Summary Window for you to change or type into except for 
the one field where you can enter a prefix etc... to look up stats.  There 
are only two places where you can modify a QSO record.  One if in the log 
and the other is in the previous QSO window.  If you wish to convince 
yourself that changes are saved, just log a dummy QSO record and then do 
some experimenting for yourself and you will see the results.
