Clues anyone;

Does MMD support MMVARI with DXBase?

MMD works with MMTTY, but seems to be a hair puller for me with MMVARI.

Tnx,

Eric,

YES!! I just brought up DXbase2007 - MMD60 - and MMVARI ... made
a DUMMY contact and the info from the DATA fields within MMVARI
were sent to DXbase all ok -- just like with MMTTY ...

As long as the MMD60 console shows that MMD60 is connected
to BOTH DXbase and to MMVARI (green boxes/squares) -- then
you are in good shape..

What is it that MMVARI is not doing for you ..

I even did a dummy PSK31 qso and also a separate RTTY qso ...

Logbook entries were right on!

Success:

I had missed the option in the MMVARI set-up under logging to Link to
logging software. When Joe mentioned it would work then I knew it must have
been finger problems at my end. Thanks Joe for helping me to think out my
options.

Now - Surprisingly I had e-mail that said MMTTY and MMVARI with the MMD
bridge interface is not designed to work with DXBase. This is not true, in
fact MMTTY and MMVARI work just fine with DXBase when the MMD bridge is used
with the three programmes, so go for it guys.

The reason for me to get away from HamScope and DXbase PSK is for hardware
configurations use on my station. DXbase PSK will not address more then two
sound cards and both Dxbase PSK and HamScope do not separate the left and
right channels for use with a dual radio interfaces, a must in this day and
age. Also MMVARI is proving to me to be a much better demodulation engine
then the out-of-date engine of AE4JY - sorry to say guys, but it is true.

Hopefully someday the MM digital engines will have the option to be directly
interfaced with DXBase. Without doubt this would make DXBase one of the most
powerful digital mode to logbook programs on the market. In the meantime I
am willing to work with the MMD bridge tool so I can have Dxbase work with
my state-of-the-art hardware.

Thanks guys and gals,
Eric - VE3GSI
