Hi Alan;

There are two ways to go about this. I use my VE3HO Database and in the Notes field I preface the field with ve3ho - or xn3ho - etc so at a later date I can search in the log using this field and collect all the QSO's for a special prefix and upload them to LOTW that way.

The other way is if you have a current version of DXBase ask Jack to provide you a registration file for all the callsigns/prefixes you have used and create a database for each callsign/prefix. To do this load and open your existing VE1AL primary database. When that is done save a copy of your primary database VE1AL and move it to a different directory or onto a USB stick leaving the primary copy where it is. Next use DXBase to create new database files for each alias Prefix and one called VE1AL-new. Now extract all the primary and secondary call QSO's as individual ADI files named to match your new dxbase file names and save them to a new directory called ADI within DXBase. Now go in and do a NON DXB impoort of the XL1AL.ADI file into the XL1AL database. Now continue to do this for each call/prefix ADI file to each database including your primary VE1AL-new database which you will fill with the VE1AL.ADI. Now move the VE1AL database to a safe place. Once it is clear of the database directory rename VE1AL-new database to VE1AL and you should now be able to open this database with just your VE1AL calls in it. The saem for the rest of the calls.

If you have a VE3FRA log also do the same for it.

Now the last thing you need to do is to contact LOTW before you start loading and explain what you are doing and they will map all these calls so you get credit under VE1AL for DXCC purposes. If you have already loaded multiple calls under VE1AL I think it is a bit late but talk to LOTW and see what they want to as far as making corrections.

In preparation for an eventual upload to LoTW, I am changing all the
operator calls in my log to reflect the callsign used at the time of the
QSO. Today, I discovered one prefix that gets turfed and I suspect, as I go
along, I will find others that were not properly registered.

I have used all of the Canadian prefixes such as CF1/3, CG1/3, etc. and
since these were registered, I can change them. But it seems I overlooked
XL.

How do I check to see which prefixes I registered and once I see that how do
I add the missing prefixes?

In other words, I have used VC3FRA, XJ1AL, XL1AL, XM3FRA, XN3FRA, etc.  I
need every possible Canadian prefix available for my log, having used each
of them at one time or another over the last 40 years that I have entered
into my database.

Can anyone help?
