I just started using Hamscope for RTTY and PSK32. Interface with the radio is a RigExpert Standard.
Everything is working like it should, but I am trying to figure out how to interface Hamscope with DXBase for logging? According to the Hamscope help, it "provides a simple ADIF file write capability, and dynamic links to DXbase (whatever that means). To compound the problem I run DXbase on a different computer than I do Hamscope. I do have the computers networked and "talking" talking to each other. The help file says: Select the logging program that you want HamScope to use for QSO logging. If you do not wish to use logging, you should set this to "None." The following logging programs are supported in HamScope: · DXbase (http://www.dxbase.com ) · LOGic (http://www.hosenose.com ) · RYlog (http://www.wic.net/~bobv/rylogit.htm ) · TRX-Manager (http://www.trx-manager.com ) · YPLOG (http://members.shaw.ca/ve6yp ) Enter the full path to the logging program in the "Path" box (this is not necessary with LOGic). This path is used to "Auto Start" the logger if it is not running when HamScope is started. If you don't use the logging feature (or wish to use HamScope's simple ADIF output), the path value can be set blank or left as the default. The best I have come up with (and I don't know if I am correct) is to have the DXBase folder in the "Shared Documents" folder so it can be accessed from the network. Additionally, when I go to setup in Hamscope for the log program, it asks me for the "path to log program" which I assume will be "MY NETWORK PLACES", the SharedDocs on the DXBase computer. But then I hit a "brick wall" because it wants the file name and it shows a file type of Logging Programs (*.exe). Have no idea where I am going from there (if I am right so far); and what to do??? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
