Well I'll be doggoned, Tim. I didn't know that and have always mapped a particular Gitmo station to the database. I just tried and find your "solution" is, in fact, the solution to a non-existent problem. I'm pretty sure it wasn't that way when I started using DXbase in the DOS days :-). Gotta learn something every day!

Tried logging a bunch of callsigns, KG4 - 2x1, 2x2, and 2x3, and found the following: Any KG4 2x1 tried - prefix field fills as K. Any KG4 2x2 tried - prefix field fills as KG4. Any KG4 2x3 tried - prefix field fills as K. The only mapping in my Prefix Database for KG4 on the Alias Map tab, is Map Prefix KG4 to Primary Prefix KG4. So I don't understand how the 2x1, 2x2, and 2x3 calls are working correctly, unless this is built into DXbase, and can't be seen in the Prefix Database. Maybe someone knows and can explain it? 73, Tim - N3XX > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected] > Date: Sat, 21 Mar 2009 20:43:17 -0400 > Subject: [Dxbase] KG4 Mapping > > For those who really know knowable DxBase, I pose this question. > > How do you map KG4 for both Guantanamo Bay and also KG4 for the US? > The only difference is the suffix with GTMO being a 2X2 call and the > US with a 2X1 or 2X3? > > Thank > Stu > K4MIL ______________________________________________________________ Dxbase mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________ Dxbase mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
