It seems to me that this thread is about the difference between some people being able to make DXBase run well on VISTA, and maybe Windows 7, and having a logging database that is fully supported on the new operating systems.
It appears that DXBase may not be upgraded for support of the VISTA and WINDOWS 7 64 bit operating systems. I need to move to a new, more capable computer, to handle my growing list of ham related applications. So, I need to find a new logging program that has most of the capabilities of DXBase. I would be very interested in comments from others that have fully - or partially - switched to another logging program that they think compares well to DXBase. I fail to see what this Thread is all about as I have a Vista computer set to EST and my dxbase log records in UTC automatically. I never considered it to be a big deal.
