It seems to me that this thread is about the difference between
some people being able to make DXBase run well on VISTA, and maybe Windows 7,
and having a logging database that is fully supported on the new operating
systems. 

It appears that DXBase may not be upgraded for support of the VISTA and WINDOWS 
7
64 bit operating systems. I need to move to a new, more capable computer, to 
handle my 
growing list of ham related applications. So, I need to find a new logging 
program that
has most of the capabilities of DXBase. I would be very interested in comments 
from others
that have fully - or partially - switched to another logging program that they 
think compares well
to DXBase.

I fail to see what this Thread is all about as I have a Vista computer set
to EST and my dxbase log records in UTC automatically. I never considered it
to be a big deal.
