Forgive me if I get the terms mixed up. Please correct me if I have this wrong.
With DXBase2006 and 2007 there was a column to check that
was for Confirmed QSOs this does not include EQSL or LOTW
Confirmations I think it was for Cards.
Later on there was an update for DXBase2007 that included yet another
confirmation column. This was due to ADIF2 update to the software.
Now there are 2 confirmation columns. What are these 2 columns used for?
As described above I used the first confirmation for Card confirmation.
When I went from one logging program to another I found out that I lost all
my card confirmations for calls that were checked on most of the programs
I used. One of these programs was set up to transfer DXBase ADIF to their
program with out losing anything and advertised it. I am wondering what
it would drop from DXBase.
The second confirmation when ADIF2 was introduced, DXBase was
updated with the new confirmation column which is now I think conformed
with ADIF2 standard so when you go from one program to another
you do not lose you card confirmations when transferred.
LOTW and EQSL confirmation, FYI, from DXBase and other programs,
when transferring ADIF files, goes into the other programs as a
Confirmation. They do not separate into the LOTW and/or EQSL column
confirmations. Doing the same thing from a different program to another for the
most part you get the same results.
