Ya its been discussed the hosts file needs to be moved to 
windows\system32\drivers\etc 
I dont remember if I copied it but i think i did then pasted it into the proper 
folder but its in the dxbase folder its just that Vista doesnt like it there.. 
Once you get it in the vista folder it should work . You may have to make a 
modification like adding these lines at least I have these in my folder in 
Vista but I dont remember which one worked for me? 
127.0.0.1 localhost 
::1 localhost 

When you go to & you will have to do more to make it work :)

but for some reason I can't find it. I just put dxbase 2007 on a new 
computer with vista business. At first the internet cluster was working 
although with a node I dont usually use. Now Im getting an error that 
says the hosts file cant be located. What have I done now? Also I went 
to look up this in the help file and of course vista says "help" not 
supported. I assume there is a work around for that also. 

You all can reply direct if you so as not to bother everyone on the 
reflector.
