After looking for duplicate files I was surprised to see that my n4kw.mdb has gone back to 13.028mb. Yesterday after I compacted it, it's size was down to 6. 2mb. I also noted that the two largest files other than my database are Trial.mdb at 5.872mb, and Ref data.mdb at 3.74mb. I guess after years of faithful service from DXBase its my turn in the barrel. 73 Pete N4KW
