Dick,

It's a two step process. First use the Selection Wizard (Tools/Selection
Wizard or the icon on your tool bar), to select the begin and end dates of
the log you want to print out. When you open the Wizard click on the QSO
Filters button. Clear all the check boxes on the filters window. Then
check the "QSO Date <" and "QSO Date >" boxes and set the dates you need to
establish the start and end dates and click OK. Now from the Selection
Wizard main window set "Output Type" to Reports. You may want to check the
"Test only..." box and do a trial run first to see if the number of records
selected seems reasonable. If not, to back to the QSO Filters window and
check your settings. If it looks good uncheck the test box and run it
again. This will put a copy of the records you want in a special area of
DXBase. Exit the Selection Wizard.

Now you will print the log list of the records you just selected. Go to
Output/User Designed Lists. A small window titled "User List Record Source"
opens. Check the "Sort Order" you want, probably the default of Date, and
make sure the "Data Source" is set to "Wizard Data". Now a window opens
with a list of all the pre-formatted Reports available within DXBase.
Scroll down through the list until you find a log book style report such as
"Log in ARRL Paper Format.lst" or Logbook.lst". There are several
possibilites that will probably meet your needs. Click one and then click
Open. On the printing options window select Preview in the "Direct to..."
box and then Start. A preview of what the report will look like displays.
If not to your liking go back and select a different report list. When you
get the one you want click on one of the printer buttons at the top of page.
Ta da, done!

73,
Gary AL9A
