Neal et al:
Here are my own thoughts on dxbase: Dxbase 2006 was okay and I didn't "need" dxbase 2007 but I bought it anyway thinking it would help Jack and the community but I was disappointed when the booth at Dayton disappeared with a vague explanation (so far, never to return). I am not a computer hobbyist and my computer is an aide to working/logging/qsling amateur radio stations, that's all. I like the "look" of dxbase 2007 just fine (maybe it can be named "classic dxbase") and don't require floating windows on multiple displays. My only real complaint about dxbase 2007 has been that there is no easy (to me) way to update the database for changes resulting from geopolitical changes (hence the overall time and message traffic related to what should have been a simple matter of the PJs). The fact that such a simple matter required extensive beta testing and multiple releases did not bode well for the future IMHO. I could care less about the various qualities of different versions of Access unless that helps me work a new country/state/grid/island to increase my score in the game with no end. 73 Larry, W4RA ______________________________________________________________ Dxbase mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
