Greg, Someone sent me a driver file for the IC-7600 when I first got my radio, but some of the functions didn't work correctly. This patch will work.
Go to your DXB program location, mine is at C:\Program Files\Scientific Solutions\DXbase 2006. Find the radio.ini file and open it with Notepad. Find the section called Icom_IC-7800. In this section find the line that has the default hex address for the IC-7800 and change it to: Address=0x7A This is the default hex address for the IC-7600. Save the modified file and start up DXB. Go to User Options and select the Radio 1 tab. Select ICOM as the Manufacturer and in the Model list select IC-7800. Now that you have changed the hex address of the IC-7800 radio driver to the hex address of the IC-7600 all the radio commands of that driver will work with your IC-7600. 73, Gary AL9A ----- Original Message ----- From: "Greg Engle" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: March 18, 2011 3:07 AM Subject: [Dxbase] Icom 7600 > How do I go about getting DXbase to recognize and operate my Icom 7600? > > Any ideas? > > > > Greg > > N6PYI > > ______________________________________________________________ > Dxbase mailing list > Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase > Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm > Post: mailto:[email protected] > > This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net > Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________ Dxbase mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
