Howdy Steve, I think you are right. I did this about a year ago. I printed out my country files from the "numeric totals" and painstakingly checked them against my cards and LOTW lists. NOT FUN. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be but I found that DXBase had couple of band credits that I had no card for. I also found out that some of my specific band and mode totals were wrong because years ago they didn't give credit for anything but mixed so if I had a country, for example, confirmed on 80 CW the ARRL records only show credit but not CW or 80. I guess that guys that have this straightened out have sent those cards back in to get the band and mode credit. I am not going to the trouble or expense to fix this! My overall totals are as good as they are going to be so I am just waiting for my last three to come on the air so I can snag them.
Good luck! It is the greatest thing since........(you choose). However, I'm about positive that there are probably a couple of discrepancies between my official ARRL totals and what I have on DXB. Yes, I do download my confirmations, etc. However, I have been at this for several decades and there is always the possibility that early on, I got some stuff to the ARRL that isn't in DXB. Maybe. I'm not 100% sure. To my knowledge, the only way to check your ARRL confirmations against DXB is to print out your totals and look them up manually. Do I have this right?
