Ron,

Everybody is anxious for the newest greatest version. The fact is that what
we have is working fine. I have been using DXBase since its inception and
love the program. I think it is going to be great to have a new DXBase Win 7
version with lots of cool new stuff. Frankly, though, what I have (DXBase
2007) works really nice and I am pretty familiar with it. The support that
you can get off this site is excellent. Just be patient...all will be fine.
Incidentally I certainly be one of the first to buy the new iteration of
DXBase when it comes out...just like I always have.

Subject: [Dxbase] DXBase Beyond 2007 Version

I've been a long time DXBase user and supporter (approximately since 1986)
and cannot see myself switching to another logging program. However, all
four of my Windows machines are now running Win 7 (and will not ever go back
to pre-Win 7). I have tried to create order to the many fine
enhancements/upgrades provided by the logging program users in planning to
reinstall DXBase 2007 on the machine. I've given up trying to do this.

What is the plan, if one still exists, for providing a DXBase XXXX in the
near future??????? If one is planned, hopefully it allows the 2007 version
log files to be easily loaded into the new software and incorporates many of
the features that folks have provided to DXBase and the radio control
interface works with the legacy and the new radios.

I've waited patiently for the new DXBase XXXX version, which hopefully
brings this outstanding logging program into today's world, to show up.
I've become concerned that I've haven't seen any communications on the
DXBase website which addresses the above and the planned delivery of the new
version. In fact, I've not seen any 'official' discussion of the planned
delivery in recent times.

I prefer DXBase to any other DX type logging software that I've studied or
installed. Most of those program developers really needed a course in how
to create viable and usable human interfaces.

Is there a Date Planed for DXBase XXXX?

Ron / NU1U
