Do you have a backup of your complete DXBase folder (like a complete backup of C:)? I have Norton Backup do a full C: backup every Sunday morning.
If so you could restore all but your logbook file from a backup (this is what I do when I have weird things happen in DXBase) when you did have all the HF columns. I am pretty sure this info is stored in your DXBase.ini file that is located in the Windows folder.
