First, thank you to all the people who responded to my 2 emails. Obviously, I didn't understand what I wanted to do well enough to express it in the notes.
Here is what I wanted to do: 1 - I have several QSL cards to submit for DXCC for credit. 2 - I want to use a Card Checker, but didn't want to enter the QSL data by hand like I did last time. It can lead to data entry errors. 3 - The Online DXCC articles described a process to use an AFIF file export from a logging program, such as DXBase. 4 - My concern was the ADIF file doesn't produce a report to give to the Checker. Plus the Checker would send the DXCC Desk a report that someone there would have to hand enter. Thus, a chance for more errors. 5 - I couldn't see how to work around this problem until Mike, ND4V, comes to rescue!!!. Please read Mike's (ND4V) email reprinted below. What I missed is that with the ADIF import, you can print the online form with the QSL Cards in the same order as the ADIF file to give to the Card Checker. Problem solved. 73, Stewart, W0SHL ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------- >From Mike, ND4V Stewart, I just did the same thing... Flagged my Qs and used selection wiz to make an adif file. You must use the online dxcc application form, it will give you a chance to import your adif file. Worked just fine with the adif file created by dxbase. You submit the form to arrl and pay them. Then you print out the online form and take that to the card checker -- along with the cards in the same order. Saves somebody at hq from having to key the data and speeds up the process a little.
