These days it may be more pertinent to ask "Will DXBase run under Windows 8?". I've heard most manufacturers no longer make Win 7 an option for a new machine.

Subject: [Dxbase] Windows 7 Question

Well, my trusty desktop is starting to act strangely. Sometime over night, something went wrong and it didn't want to boot this morning. It took about an hour but it finally came up. Bottom line, I lost some sectors on my HD, not sure what or why. I ran the usual utilities which confirmed all of this. Defrag won't work at all, gives me a warning notice. I suspect disc slippage but who knows.

I'm using XP and of course like it. But, I'm wondering if it isn't time to move into the world of Windows 7. I read Neal's instructions and it appears that DXBase 2007 will run on Windows 7 64-bit. Just wanted to confirm and see if any of you had any comments before I possibly make a mistake here.

In terms of DX, worked A45XR on 30 the other night for a new one on that band! Confirmed the next day via LOTW.
