I recently uninstalled my old DXB2006 version and suddenly find myself having crash problems on a couple of utility programs that previously worked without a problem under DXB2007. During the uninstall Windows popped up several file names, dll’s I think, that said this program is no longer needed by any other programs, do you want to delete it? I said Yes to all and now I think that may have been a mistake.
Tonight I tried to run Joe WA6AXE’s usazonechecker.exe utility to scan my data base file for zone errors that usually happen after importing a adi file from my contest logger. The program crashed with the following error message: “Microsoft Windows Gius041407-1MFC Application has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.” A bit later I ran the DXbase Utility program to back up my mdb file and it worked correctly. However, I then tried to run the CD Data application to import CD data from my RAC database and that Utility program also crashed with the following error message: “Microsoft Windows Dxbutility MFC Application has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.” Obviously, something is amiss. How do I recover the missing files that these applications are looking for? Should I try to go back to a previous restore point or uninstall DXB2007 and then reinstall it. If I do the reinstall will the missing files be loaded again, or were these Windows files that are part of the OS – Vista Home Premium 32 bit? 73, Gary AL9A ______________________________________________________________ Dxbase mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
